David Rosenberg is an Israeli artist, born in 1992, lives and creates in Jerusalem.

“My work explores states of control and lack of control, order vs. chaos. The subjects I examine and my creative processes are the result of mental state and inner impulse. The speed and intensity of these processes aim to capture a momentary mood and emit it into a piece.

The materials I choose are usually synthetics: industrial paints, sprays and different evaporating materials. The surfaces of my works are Formica and various Ready-Made boards, commonly used in an industrial area. I experiment the materials and research their random reactions of attachment or rejection.

My works are characterized by the accumulation of layers of patterns, bipartite structures and geometric shapes. By covering and subtracting, I expose different layers and maneuver meeting-points of depth and optical flatness, a technique which demands discretion alongside spontaneity. These pieces are characterized by balanced contrasts, allows me to create amongst the forces of violence and chaos.”
